Nice lotion, but I apparently misunderstood its function. This is NOT a sunless self-tanner. Apparently you must be a tanning bed user to benefit from it in terms of color. I thought it was supposed to be a sunless tanner which did not need any artificial assistance. Don't be fooled like I was! It's only a nice moisturizer but gives no color at all if you are a non-tanning bed user.
BEST TANNING LOTION EVER!!!!July 23, 2010 Madison Reed Taylor(The Land of Milk and Honey) I loooooove this stuff!!! Gets you tanned soooooo much faster than with no lotion at all!!! I squirt a small amount on wet hands and apply all over. Usually, I have to wet my hands twice to cover my whole body. For my back, I use my long scrubbing towel I use in the shower. I wet the towel first, squirt a little bit of tanning lotion on the towel, then scrub my back with it. Yaahooooo it works! No orange color!!!! No nasty streaks!!!! No fading!!!! Just a gorgeous, natural tan ... FAST!!! It makes you look like you're an exotic island girl!!!!!

H.(Chicago, IL USA) I started using this after I had already established a base tan, so I can't vouch for whether it helps get you darker from the beginning but so far it's been working for me. The bottle looks cool, and you get a lot of lotion for your money's worth I think. I have only used this while tanning outside, so I have no idea if it will work in a bed well.
Yes, it has lots of bronzers in it to make you look dark initially and they do wash off, but I still feel it actually makes you TAN better so none of that matters to me. It smells like tropical sunscreen when you put it, which is only okay, but not bad I guess. However, once I'm done tanning I HAVE to shower. It smells like I just finished tanning, not a pleasant smell. This lotion also doesn't stay "dry" on your skin like others, while I'm in the sun the lotion looks wet on me. My skin does feel super soft after I use it, which is a plus.
Other than the after smell I think it's pretty good overall. I haven't been this dark in years.

So confused! I see so many great reviews for this lotion, but it actually SHIELDED the bulbs from giving me my full tan. I got a membership to Hollywood Tan's 4 star beds, which are made to give the deepest tan imaginable, and are not cheap! I started using this lotion on day one and could NOT get a good base tan after two weeks of tanning almost daily. I complained to the salon consultant about their beds not being strong enough, and requested to try another bed. They assured me over and over that the membership I had for the 4 star bed was one of the best, and to stick with it. Finally after they tried to sell me a lotion of theirs to "enhance" my tanning effect, I thought I should experiment with my own. At this point I had already worked my way up to the full 10 minutes and was getting no where. I went in one time with no lotion at all, and got pretty red/tan...first time I saw major results. I then tried another lotion, and got tons of color as well. It is clear to me that the whole time it was this lotion, and I stopped using it immediately. Maybe mine was a faulty product, but it smells just like described in other reviews. Maybe it works well after you have reached your full tan effect, but it did nothing other than act as sun screen for me. I think I'm going to request a refund. :|
For whoever wants to be dark..!July 13, 2010 Amarie Tried this product as soon as I got it in the mail.. I've tried billions of tanning lotions. Everything from OC Ten X to Black 20XXX, including all those cheapy lotions in Sallys Beauty Supplies. THIS ONE IS THE BEST! I've only used it once so far but can already notice a slight difference.. I know if i keep going my color will build in NO TIME.. Absolutly the best lotion for me. Would deffinetly recommend!
